Diamondback Energy wishes to pay tribute to Bill Franklin, VP of Land and Business Development Read Tribute to Bill Franklin
After battling cancer for many months, Bill Franklin, our Vice President of Land and Business Development, passed away on December 23, 2013. Bill was an honorable, intelligent, professional, kind, unselfish, humble and funny person. He was highly respected throughout his long career with ConocoPhillips and Diamondback Energy. He held a degree in history from Oklahoma City University and was a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen. He enjoyed playing baseball, basketball and golf, as well as being an avid runner. Bill had a strong faith, was very devoted to his family and was a wonderful friend. Bill’s contributions to our company and each of our lives will be always appreciated. While the disease slowly ravaged his body, it never touched his heart, soul or mind. His passing from this earth will be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived. Those of us that had the privilege to work with Bill will not soon forget him… We miss him greatly.
